Pierce District Court asks for name, date of birth, case number when known, and incident date. These fields help distinguish similar names and the correct proceeding.
Specify the docket, judgment, order, disposition, recording, or other item rather than asking for “everything.”
The District Court page describes mail, email, online request and pickup/delivery options. Confirm the quoted charge after the request because the office provides cost information based on the material requested.
If the result identifies Superior Court, use LINX/Superior resources; do not ask the District Court clerk to manufacture a Superior record.
Tacoma Municipal Court lists the first 10 photocopy pages as free and additional pages at $0.50 per page.
The court lists $5 per certified document. Choose certification only when the recipient needs an issued certified record rather than a search screenshot.
The court lists CD/audio at $10 and asks for the case name, number and hearing date; its page says the expected audio-CD turnaround is five to ten business days.
For public case-record requests, Tacoma asks for name, date of birth, case number and incident date when known, plus a valid email if electronic delivery is requested.
Use LINX, Pierce District, or Tacoma Municipal based on the court shown. Save the case number and court name.
Obtain the judgment, docket, order or certified copy from the court that maintains the case.
Tacoma’s Public Records Office says South Sound 911 coordinates Tacoma Police incident reports, CAD reports and 911 audio. Link the report number to the case rather than treating the police file as the court disposition.
